Roger Wade Schimmel

Roger Wade Schimmel was born on November 7, 1960 in Anadarko, OK, to Alvin Wayne and Myrna Kay (Gifford) Schimmel. He passed away on April 11, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 60. Roger graduated from Lookeba-Sickles High School in 1979. He married Sue Ann Hitt on March 13, 1979 in Wheeler, TX. He worked in the Oil & Gas Industry and worked for Gulfstream. He owned and operated Roger’s Service Station in Lookeba and Eakly and worked for Danny Wright Dozer. Roger has worked as a pipeline welding Inspector for the last ten years. He enjoyed helping Alvin on the farm, enjoyed eating out with Sue, and wood working. He was a member of the Hinton Missionary Baptist Church in Hinton.

Survivors include: his wife, Sue Ann Schimmel of Lookeba, OK, his children, Chad Schimmel and Kristy Carver of Lookeba, OK, Tracy Williams of Lookeba, OK, and Wade Gathers and wife Angela of Calumet, OK, his grandchildren, Kylie Werger and husband Matt of Anadarko, OK, Garret Gathers and wife Mikayla of Tuttle, OK, Rhett Gathers and girlfriend Leighann of El Reno, OK, Tatum Chancellor of Lookeba, OK, Audrey Gathers of Calumet, OK, and Bryer Schimmel of Lookeba, OK, his father, Alvin Schimmel of Lookeba, OK, his brother, Eddie Schimmel of Lookeba, OK, his mother in law, Hazel Hitt of Hinton, OK, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends.  

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Myrna Kay Billings, his grandparents, Bill and Grace Gifford, Victor and Sue Schimmel, father-in-law, Frank Hitt, grandson, Blake Williams, and sister-in-law, Janelle Rainey.
