Mary Hacker Obituary

Mary W. Hacker was born July 7, 1942 in Snow, OK to Roy and Clara (Joslin) Carter.  She went to be with The Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Maplelawn Manor in Hydro, OK at the age of 78.  Mary grew up near West Fork Mountain, and attended school in Finley, OK.  She married William Dan Jackson in1957 in Eastern Oklahoma. She later married Joseph Lee Hacker on June 17, 1968 in Hugo, OK.  The couple moved to the Lookeba area in the early 1970s.  Mary was a busy homemaker raising their children until she went to work in the Lookeba-Sickles School in 1983.  She loved serving at the school and took such great pride in her work.  She worked there for 21 years before her retirement.  Mary loved to attend concerts and car shows with her special friend Lloyd Winburn.  She loved taking care of her lawn and beautiful flowers.  Mary loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She was always looking forward to the next family get together.  Mary was saved as a child in the Finley Assembly of God Church and recently rededicated her life to The Lord. 

 

Mary is survived by her 6 children; Terry Hacker and his wife Alice of Lawton, OK, Luada Williams and her husband Leon of Dill City, OK, Debbie Lambert and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, OK, Joann East and husband David of Binger, OK, Anita Caldwell and husband Mark of Lookeba, OK, and Rhonda Elrod and husband Rick of Lookeba, OK, 19 grandchildren; Terry Ray Hacker, Tara Hacker, Tyler Hacker, Daniel Ricketts, Tamara Davis, Marvin Hacker, Michel Hacker, Tiffany Goldtrap, Brandi Hacker, Keshia Senti, Brenden East, Tasha Tedder, Torey Thomas, Trey Elrod, Damon Caldwell, Christy Hatfield, Kevin Baker, Brandon Morgan, and Jake Morgan, a host of great grandchildren, 3 siblings; Glenn Carter, Dale Carter, and Wilma Crownover as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Clara Carter, husbands; Joe Hacker and Danny Jackson 

2 daughters; Wendy Coe and Bonnie Morgan, grandson; Jodie Hacker, and 5 siblings; Retha, Maxine, Irene, Thurman and Herman.  

 

Memorial Donation may be made in Mary’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org or PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
