Mary Elaine Smith-Burghardt

Mary was born on December 4th, 1948 to Edward and Mattie Smith in Geary, Ok. She was called to rest on January 8th, 2020, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Mary enjoyed many things in life, cooking, painting, horses, playing games, and her family. Mary attended Geary HS and graduated in 67. She married Tommy Burghardt in April of 67 and then moved with him to California to Ft. Ord army base. While there she met many people, including the late Janis Joplin, and made many friends. Mary got to travel to many places after Tommy left the service and became a over seas driller. Her favorite place being island of Malta.  

Mary is preceded in death by: her parents and her husband, Tommy Burghardt. She leaves behind her three children; Dianna and husband Burt Wheaton of Geary, JW Burghardt of Longdale, and Larria and wife Ashley of Geary. Three grandchildren; Thomas Burghardt, Athena Hicks, and Codi Jo Burghardt. Great-grand children; Lillie and Rose Shinn. And many other family and friends.
