Mark Strack

Mark Strack was born May 1, 1954 to Billy Joe and Patricia Ann (Payne) Strack in Watonga, OK.  He passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 68.  Mark graduated from Watonga High School. 

In 1972, Mark married Jackie Eggar.  They had one daughter, Tabbitha.  Mark studied Agriculture Education at OSU and received his degree in 1977.  He became an Ag teacher and taught Ag at Greenfield Oklahoma and at a school in Willston, North Dakota.  He enjoyed being an Ag Teacher but his true love was farming.  He started farming full time in the early 80’s.  Mark worked at MidCon and many other jobs, in the winter, when farming was not as busy.    Mark farmed alongside his dad, Bill Strack, and many of his uncles.  Their crops included wheat and alfalfa and they also raised cattle.  

Tabbitha, and her husband Randal, and their boys, Gabe and Kameron Kiener were fortunate to be able to celebrate Mark’s last birthday with him on May 1, 2022, by eating steaks and sushi. 

Mark loved his grandsons fiercely and was very proud of them.   

Mark loved to go to the lake with family and friends and loved to pull people on the tube with his boat.  Although Jackie would have to get on to him when he’d get a little rambunctious!  

One of Mark and Jackie’s favorite time of year was Halloween.  They would decorate their house and Mark always had a trick up his sleeve to try and scare everyone.  They always came up with a new plan every year.  Their house was one of the most popular trick or treat houses in town! 

Mark was a very loyal friend and never met a stranger.   
Mark will be missed by many.

Survivors include:  his daughter, Tabbitha Kiener and her husband, Randal of Geary; grandsons, Gabe and Kameron Kiener; his sister, Shelly Shrader and her husband Danny of Watonga; other relatives and many friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Pat Strack, and his wife, Jackie Strack.

Celebration of Life:  Friday, July 1, 2022 at 5:00 pm at the Boots & Chaps Event Center in Greenfield, OK.
