Lee Ellen Hood Heldermon was born January 21, 1945 at Geary, OK.  To Louis Giles Singleton Hood and Fern Berniece Nusz Hood. After her first few years her dads work transferred him to Yukon, Ok and they moved there when she was 5 years old. She attended school at Yukon, Ok until 8th grade.  The family moved back to Geary when she was a freshman in High school.  She graduated from Geary High School May 10, 1963.  On August 10, 1963 she married the love of her life Bob Heldermon.  They were married in El Reno, Ok. Two children were born to Bob and Lee.  Their son Guy and daughter Kaci.  Their children were the light of their lives. They enjoyed watching all the wrestling matches, dance recitals, cheerleading practices, ag shows and horse shows with their children. After 6 grandchildren came along, they enjoyed watching softball, basketball, baseball, track, cross country, football and dance recitals.  She adored every moment spent with her grandchildren. Lee worked at Hinton schools for 35 years.  She loved her job and made so many friends with the students and co-workers.  She helped so many students and loved many like her own.  She took pride in her job and being a part of Hinton Schools.  She was president of the young home makers in the 70’s and president of the cosmos club. She was a Christian and her faith got her through many trials.  She was a member of Bridgeport Methodist Church.  She was an avid animal advocate.  Loved horses, dogs and always wanted to take in stray dogs and feed and take care of them.
