Joe C Jared

Joe C. Jared was born on November 26, 1924, in Allen, Oklahoma to Julius and Dora (Lowe) Jared. He passed away on July 22, 2021, in Yukon, OK. He married Dortha Kerr on December 31, 1943, in Ada, Oklahoma. Joe attended Byng schools in Byng, OK and drove a school bus while his wife, Dortha taught school. Joe and Dortha moved to Rock Island, Washington and had a cherry orchard. He worked for the Columbia Concrete Pipe Company for 30 years. The Jared’s moved to Hinton on November 7, 1994. Joe loved music; he had guitars, banjos, and harmonicas, and when he was younger, played in a county western band with his brother.

Survivors include: his daughter Deloris Hall and her husband Randy of Genesee, Idaho, a sister-in-law, Treva Johnson of Bridgeport, OK, a brother-in-law Bud Kerr and his wife Velta of Hinton, OK., a niece Patsy Coffey of Stonewall, OK, and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife Dortha, his parents Julius and Dora Jared, 3 bothers, 3 sisters and one daughter, Ann Jared.

Graveside Services: Hinton Cemetery, Monday, 10:00 AM, July 26, 2021, Hinton, OK

Officiating: Rev. Kaela Burdge

Burial: OK under the direction of Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
