Clarence McLoud Obituary

 

Clarence McLoud was born on March 16, 1927 in Roosevelt, OK to Claud G. and Ollie “Bill” (McMorris) McLoud. He passed away on June 27, 2021 in Yukon, OK at the age of 94. Clarence attended Pergatory, Shilo, California, and East Walnut Schools. He served in the US Army during WWII and worked for Rock Island Railroad from 1947-1949, then from 1952 to 2001 when railroad closed. He married Audra Renfro on January 15, 1949 in Anadarko, OK. He farmed, enjoyed fishing, family, dominoes, and cards. Clarence was a member of the American Legion, Flood Plains Board in El Reno, Soil Conservation Board in Hinton, and the First Baptist Church in Hinton where he served as messenger for the Caddo Baptist Association for many years. He was baptized at the age of 70 at Scott Baptist Church. Clarence also went on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with Lee Norton.

 

Survivors include: his children, Kenneth McLoud and wife Jeanne of Hinton, OK, Karen Bruce and husband Ray of Hinton, OK, his grandchildren, Casey McLoud of Hinton, OK, Caleb McLoud and wife Sara of Lookeba, OK, and Bobby Bruce and wife Kathiren of Minco, OK, his 13 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.  

 

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Ollie “Bill” McLoud, his wife, Audra McLoud, and his grandson, Kyle McLoud.

Services:  First Baptist Church, Wednesday, 2:00 PM, July 7, 2021, Hinton, OK

Officiating: Rev. Keith Gillham, Rev. Steve Murray

Burial:  Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK
