Velma Mae (Hartzell) Weber

Velma Mae Hartzell Weber was born March 24, 1936 in Guthrie, OK to Robert Forrest and Dema May Greer Hartzell. She passed away on Sunday September 22, 2019 at her home in Watonga, OK, at the age of 83. She attended school through the 6th grade. She married Vernon Weber on August 24, 1950 in Eagle City, OK and lived in Oakwood then moved to Watonga in 1964.

Velma worked as a spinner for Hollytex Carpet Mills for 19 years. She loved animals, tending her trees, shrubs, canning and baking, cooking, tv and helped in raising her grandkids. Velma attended Christ Gospel Church in Watonga, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dema May Hartzell, her husband Vernon Weber, son Larry Gene Weber, grandchildren: Antonio Wesley Morales, Robert Weber; siblings: George--, Bobby, Billy Joe and Eugene Hartzell.

She is survived by her children: Bobby Allen Weber of Lindsay, OK, Wanda Weber of Watonga, OK, Larry Gene Weber and wife Lisa of Watonga, OK, Linda Morales and husband Alex of Midwest City, OK, and Twila Maple of Watonga, OK,; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; and her sister Thelma Vaughn.

 Services: Christ Gospel Church, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM  518 E. Main Street, Watonga, OK

Officiating: Rev. Geraldine Jenkins at the church and Rev. Lafyette Randle at the graveside.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood, OK
