Nola Crick- Boling Obituary

Nola Mae Crick Boling was born September 1, 1940 to Woodrow and Florence (Mauldin) Wilson in Cuthand, TX.  She passed away on May 23, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 78. Nola lived with her family in several small towns in East Texas during her early years.  She was living and going to High School in Brownfield, Texas when she met Jerome Crick while working as a carhop. She saw him one time when he drove through and told her best friend that she was going to marry him. They were married February 7, 1957 in Lovington, NM.  They moved to Colorado for a short time then to Hinton then back to Texas where she and Jerome attended Decatur Bible College.  Nola was a homemaker while her children were young. She loved to sew and did alterations and sewing for others.  Nola and Jerome had a dry cleaners in town in the early ‘70’s and an appliance store in the late ‘70’s. Nola and Jerome were married for 53 years until his passing on December 2, 2010. Nola returned to finish her Bachelor of Art degree at the age of 41. She also earned her MA, MR, LD, Autism, OHI, TBI degrees and certifications. She taught Special Education for 16 years in El Reno, The Ghost Mound Boys Home and in Hinton.  She started the Work Study Program in El Reno with her students there and several of those kids still work in those jobs. She married Wayne Boling on August 23, 2014.  She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in anything they were involved in.  Nola’s family was something she was extremely proud of. She has traveled all over the world and has seen so many fascinating places.  Nola loved sewing, quilting, painting, and doing crafts of any kind.  She was a member of The Willing Workers Club, Matron’s Club, WMU and First Baptist Church in Hinton. Her greatest titles include: Child of God, Friend, Mother, Grandmother and she is a believer that Christ is coming soon!

 

Nola was eleven years old when she accepted the Lord as her Savior. At 13 years old she was very active in her young people’s group. She also worked as a Sunday School Teacher, GA Leader, and VBS teacher. Nola and Jerome hosted 16 children’s camps at their lake home in Hinton. Serving the Lord has been a way of life for Nola and all her family.

 

Nola is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Florence Wilson, husband, Jerome Crick, her siblings, Marshall Wilson, Linda Wilson, Jackie Wilson, Jerry Glen Wilson, and Jo Ann Wilson.

 

Survivors include: Husband, Wayne Boling of the home, 3 children,  Jerome Fredrick Crick, Jr. and wife Teresa of Hinton, Lydia Crick Reading and husband Kendel of Hinton, and Allen Crick and wife Melissa of Venice, Florida, 5 grandchildren, Jessica Nance and husband Landon of Hinton, Caleb Crick and wife Lauren of Hinton,  Jake Reading of El Reno, OK, Cooper Crick and Carter Crick of Venice, Florida, 3 great grandchildren, Jaedon and Lane Nance of Hinton, and Cross Crick of Hinton. Two step children, Marla Pankratz and husband Denny of Hydro, and Lonnie Boling and wife Angela of Houston, TX, 2 brothers, Billy Ray Wilson and wife Bernadine of Brownfield, TX and John Wayne Wilson and wife Jane of Orange Grove, TX, one Aunt, Annie Lee Moore of Honey Grove, TX, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
