Herston J. Braisher

Herston J. “Pee Wee” Braisher was born on August 10, 1936 1 mile North of Sickles, OK to Joe Douglas and Jenni V. (Simpson) Braisher. He passed away on July 21, 2019 at his home in Sickles, OK at the age of 82. Pee Wee lived in Hinton before moving to Sickles in the early 1990’s. He married Carolyn Elaine Challis on August 31, 1962 in Lookeba, OK. He worked for the North Caddo CO-OP, the Corner Station in Hinton, the Railroad in El Reno, American Trailers, and retired from 3-M. He and Carolyn were lifelong OU fans, they called him the “OU Kid”, they attended all the home games since 1969.

Survivors include: his cousins, Dale and Carol Russ of Hinton, OK, Henry Braisher of OKC,OK, Kay and James Zimmerman of Mt. View, OK, Debbie Clark of Carnegie, OK, Harry and Arlene Welch of Dill City, OK, Mike Welch of Florence, CO, Mary Beth and Buddy Schultz of Denver, CO, Ronald and Marla Russ of Weatherford, OK, Tony and Julie Braisher of OKC,OK, and Mark and Shelly Braisher of OKC,OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jenni Braisher, his wife, Carolyn Braisher, and his brother, Houston Thomas Braisher
