David Leon Murphy

David Leon Murphy was born February 20, 1948 in Binger, Oklahoma to Merritt Eugene and Margaret Beatrice (Robinson) Murphy. He passed away Sunday December 1, 2019 at his home in Binger, Oklahoma at age 71.

David graduated from Eakly High School, was then drafted into the US Army in 1969, where he served for several years. He married Patricia LaGambina on September 2, 1970 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Lookeba, Oklahoma. He liked to hunt, fish, and work with wood. He was a very loving and giving man, David helped anyone who needed help. David loved his family and was devoted to all of them.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Margaret Murphy, his siblings; Marilyn Sterns, Richard Murphy, Thomas Murphy, Cora Lucas, Jesse Murphy and Rowena McCoy.

Those left to cherish memories of David are his wife of 49 years Patricia, his daughter Jenny Rebecca Beatty and husband Dwayne of Delran, New Jersey,  four Grandchildren; Murphy, Devon, Ethan, and Tabitha Beatty all of New Jersey, 2 Great Grandchildren, Damian and Nathan, nieces; Sheryil Leger and husband Richard of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Treva-Jo Fisher and husband Johnny of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one nephew, Faron Lucas of Texas, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Hinton Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 AM, Saturday December 14, 2019, Hinton, OK.
