David Lee Hood was born in Oklahoma City, March 20, 1953 to Louis and Berniece (Nusz) Hood. He left this world Friday, July 26, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Yukon High School in May of 1971. David worked many jobs in the oilfield and worked at Cattle Empire in Santana, KS as the Safety Director. His last job was with Basin Environmental as an Environmentalist. He traveled all over the United states with his job and had to retire in 2017 due to bad health. David married Melody Lynch in August of 2017. David had a love for horses and always had one or two. He loved studying Civil War and Custer’s Last Stand. He always said he should have been born in the cowboy era. He was a Christian and knew the bible well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Berniece Hood, brother, Sonny Hood, and many aunts and uncles.
He leaves behind his wife Melody of the home; son, Cole Hood; daughter Jaci Gill and her husband Aaron; grandchildren, Rhylee, Dallas and Lane Hood, Hunter and Kiefer Gill; his sister, Lee Ellen Heldermon and her husband Bob; and many nieces and nephews; and two step-daughters, Morgan and Kayleen.
