Wylie Dean Lucus was born on February 6, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK to Arson Wilburn “Shorty” and Haughty (Davis) Lucus. Wylie passed away on May 2, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Wylie grew up in the Swan Lake and Eakly area for most of his life, briefly living in Texas and New Mexico when he was young before coming back to Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and loved Hot Rod cars. Wylie was definitely a 60’s kid, from his rolled-up pant legs to his pack of cigarettes rolled up in his sleeve; a true free spirit. Wylie loved his family and especially loved all his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and really enjoyed pestering and teasing them. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Cobb, OK, and Linda Oliphant and husband Tommy of Carnegie, OK, his nieces and nephews, Shawn Lucus and wife Lisa, Cy Lucus, Ethan Lucus, Dana Lucus, Greer Lucus, Zane Lucus, Ellisyn Lucus, Robert Walkup, Jacqueline Walkup, Tyler Walkup, Robert Walkup, Jr, Billy Pounds, Shanndy Raines and husband David, Kassidy Salie, Cameron Taul, Jackson Salie, Trace Raines, Kyleigh Baker, Thomas Oliphant, Jr and wife Tara, Christopher Oliphant and fiancé Kasey Plumtree, his great nieces and nephews, Scarlett Oliphant, Alex Carmona, Rylan Parks, Drayton Parks, and Ryder Oliphant, his great great nieces and nephews, Eastyn Walkup, Deziraeigh Baker, Kohen Baker as well as many other relatives and friends.
Wylie was preceded in death by his parents, Arson and Haughty Lucus, his sister, Sharon Kay Lucus, his brother, Lyndall Lucus, his grandparents, Trinkle Link and Clara Elizabeth Lucus, and Wylie and Margaret Davis, and many aunts and uncles.
