Wilda Jean (Hendricks) Green

Wilda Jean Green was born October 3, 1943 to Lewie Lark and Louise Opal (Jocoy) Hendricks in Gracemont, Oklahoma.  She passed away April 22, 2021 at her home near Gracemont, OK. She married Roy Green on January 13, 1961 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.  Wilda was loved by many.  She was a member of the Gracemont Holiness Church for 51 years.  Wilda played the piano for 50 of those years.  She faithfully taught her Sunday School class for 3 generations. Wilda loved to work in her garden and tend to her yard.  She was recognized by everyone for her beautiful yard and flowers.  The garden she planted each year had perfectly straight rows and not a single weed was allowed to spring up.  She was known for her homemade pickles.  The night she passed, her nieces and nephews were in the cellar hunting her most famous canned good.  Wilda was a quiet woman but was very opinionated.  During the last year and a half, she openly expressed her thoughts to her faithful caregivers; Roy and Twila.  A few days before she passed, she told Twila, “Will you quit telling me what to do?” She will be missed by many. Survivors include: her husband, Roy Green of Binger, OK and daughter Twila Green and husband Terry of  Binger, OK, siblings, Richard Hendricks and wife Susan of Texas, Sheila Riley of Oklahoma City, OK, Vonda Shackelford and husband Earl of McAlester, OK, Christine Hendricks of Fletcher, OK, and Bobby Hendricks and wife Linda of Anadarko, OK, brothers-in-law, Coy Green and wife Betty and Foy Green and wife Sharon all of Binger, OK and numerous nieces, nephews, Sunday School kids, a host of friends, and a supportive Gracemont Holiness Church family.  

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, Lewie and Louise Hendricks, siblings, Gary and Perry Hendricks and Ellen Champagne.

Services:  2PM, Saturday April 24, 2021, Redbud Ranch, Binger, OK

Officiating:  Gracemont Holiness Church

Burial:  Gracemont Cemetery, Gracemont, OK
