Waymon Murphy Medicinebird was born on September 18, 1984 in Lawton, OK to Murray Medicinebird and Stevette Mopope. He passed away on August 8, 2024 in Norman, OK at the age of 39. Waymon grew up around Cyril and Fort Cobb then moved to Geary where he graduated from Geary High School. He served in the United States Navy. He has lived in Norman for the past 7-8 years. He was a tech-head who loved electronics whether it was video games or the latest computer tech. He enjoyed going to the movies, loved superhero movies in particular. Waymon’s favorite color was green. He loved his dog, Kida, and always enjoyed a good nap. Waymon will be missed by all those who loved him.

Survivors Include: his significant other, Jedidiah LeBarre of Norman, OK, his siblings, Stephen Medicinebird of Lawton, OK, Roland Medicinebird of Lawton, OK, Janetta McGahagin and husband David of Weatherford, OK, Denny Medicinebird of OKC,OK, Glen Heminokeky, Jr. of Lawton, OK, Quin Heminokeky of Lawton, OK, Janna Presley of El Reno, OK, Earl Plumely of El Reno, OK, and Christopher Plumely of Cyril, OK, his sister-in-law, Ruthie Kardokus of Perryton, Texas, his nieces, Tamryn McGahagin, Faith Salas, Marina Berryhill, his nephews, Carson Medicinebird, Brandon Whiteman, Dyson Plumely, Dorian Plumely, Berto Medicinebird-Busby, and Dino Medicinebird-Busby, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Waymon was preceded in death by his father, Murray Medicinebird, his mother, Stevette Mopope, and his stepmother, Karen Medicinebird.
