Vicki Arlene Hunt, 67, of Weatherford, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, Oklahoma.
Vicki was born on July 25, 1959, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Nelda Arlene Bisbee. She grew up in Lawton and graduated from MacArthur High School. On June 25, 1977, she married the love of her life, Harold Hunt, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered around family, and hard work.
After the births of their daughters, Michele and Heather, the family made their home in the Sickles community. Vicki cherished being a stay-at-home mother while her girls were young. Once they were both in school, she worked for CrainCo for several years before starting and operating her own lawn care business.
Following Harold’s passing, Vicki moved to Weatherford, where she became a valued employee at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU).
Vicki found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, spending time with her granddaughters, caring for her beloved cats, Prissy and Sugar, and enthusiastically cheered on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Lady Bulldogs basketball team. Her faith was an important part of her life. She faithfully served for many years as a Sunday School teacher at Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church and more recently, attended Sickles Community Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Hummel and husband, Paul, her cherished granddaughters, Maya Hummel and Laken Hummel, all of Weatherford; and her siblings, Melanie Short, Rickey Mansel, and Joe Mansel.
Vicki was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Hunt; her husband, Harold Hunt; her mother, Nelda Dolan; and her grandparents, Arlo and Thelma Bisbee.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Sickles Cemetery in Lookeba, Oklahoma, with Brennan King officiating.
Vicki will be remembered for her strength, her devotion to her family, and the love she generously shared with those around her. Her gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
