Tressa Ann (Mitchell) Cox was born on January 24, 1969 in Coalgate, OK to Bobby Mitchell and Mary (Walls) Joseph. Tressa passed away on March 31, 2025 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 56. Tressa grew up in Hinton, OK and graduated from Hinton High School. She married Kevin Cox on November 24, 1993 in Anadarko, OK. They raised their family in Lookeba, OK until Kevin’s passing in 2016. Tressa enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and loved to ride motorcycles. She loved to cook and some fond memories of her pork chops, macaroni and tomatoes, and biscuits with chocolate gravy will always be treasured by her children, Brandon, Teasha, and Bobby. She was a giving person that liked to help others and freely gave her love. Tressa loved her family and always tried to do the best for them. She was a wonderful daughter, daughter-in-law, and most of all, a wonderful mother. Tressa will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
Survivors Include: her children, Brandon Mitchell and wife Angelica of WA, Teasha Cox and wife Jordan of Lookeba, OK, and Bobby Cox of Lookeba, OK, her parents, Mary Joseph of Crookston, MN, and Bobby Mitchell of Atoka, OK, her grandchildren, Presley Britain, Blakely and Bodhi Albert, and baby Mitchell on the way, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Tressa was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Cox, and baby Cox.
Graveside Memorial Service: Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, OK.
Selected services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
