Thomas Alan Hamilton, 69 years old, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at his home in Gracemont, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 22, 1951 in Anadarko, OK to Madeline (Wolf) and Glenn (Maunkee) Hamilton. Tom graduated from Anadarko High School in 1969. He was a carpenter in the construction field all his life building Native homes for various local tribes and some commercial industrial buildings. He attended Indian Action Team Trade school and attended Caddo-Kiowa Vo-tech. Tom was a skilled woodworker and loved fishing.
Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Angie; sons, Thomas T. Hamilton (Stephanie), John Glenn Hamilton (Chris), granddaughter Hannah Lee Cozad-Hamilton; brother Delmar Hamilton (Ava), sisters Debby Lopez (Nick), and Mary Rose Hamilton; Daughters: Michelle Marcoe (Larry), Kiki Lopez (Robert Daniels), Carmen Lopez, and Karis Lopez (Joseph Williams); sons: Scott Lopez, Jesse Hamilton (Jame), Chuck Miller (Jenny Vasquez), Aaron Miller, and Brady Aunko (Jericka). Great nieces and nephews: Alex Marcoe (Jessica), Sam Marcoe (Brooke), Noah Williams, Malia Kerschner (Brandon), Bow Hamilton, Brooklinn Miller, Kendal Hamilton, Dontae Simmons, Autumn Tahbone-Pritchard, Nathan Tahbone-Pritchard, AJ TahBone-Kauley, Parker Aunko, Aurora Aunko and Bells Aunko; great-great nephew Riley Marcoe; special uncle Newton (Uncle Sonny) Sewell; and special niece, Alys (Babygirl) Supernaw; special brothers: Walt Clift and Randy Palmer; many pah-be and old friends; and a special fur-buddy, Blackie.
Tom was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Grimes Akins, Ralph and Ellen (Brown) Murrow, paternal great grandfather Kiowa Bill, paternal grandparents David and Lily (Maunkee) Hamilton, maternal grandparents, Grace (Akeen) Akins and Paul (Wolf) Frank, mother, Madeline (Frank) Hamilton, his father, Glenn D. and Mildred Hamilton, his aunt Enosta DeNomie, and great niece Jessie Rose Lopez.
Viewing will be at the home located at Murrow Danceground today Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Due to pandemic precautions, graveside only services will be held Tuesday with Fr.
