Shawna Lynn Embrey was born May 31, 1979, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Jerry Vaughn and Joan Marie (Clark) Embrey. She passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her home in Geary, Oklahoma, at the age of 46.  Shawna graduated from Anadarko High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree from NEO College in Miami, Oklahoma. She lived in Miami for several years, where she worked at a local smoke shop. She later moved to El Reno before making her home in Geary five years ago.  Shawna enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles—but only Harley-Davidsons—and most of all, spending time with her beloved dogs and her nieces.

Survivors include her parents, Jerry and Joan Embrey of El Reno, Oklahoma; her sister, Crystal Cross and husband Shawn of Anadarko; nieces Draelyn Perry and her husband Chance of Yukon and their daughter, StellaKate; and Drinity Biliske and her husband Mason of Blanchard.

Shawna was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Gracemont Cemetery in Gracemont, Oklahoma with Rev. Corey Smith officiating. Viewing will be held at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Hinton beginning Monday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM,  services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma.
