Sharran Kay (Toles) Brite

   Funeral services for Sharran Kay (Toles) Brite, 77, of Fredrick, Oklahoma will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Hydro, Oklahoma.

   Mrs. Brite passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Lawton, Oklahoma.  Burial will be at the Hinton Cemetery under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, Oklahoma.

   Sharran was born April 2, 1943 south of Hydro, Oklahoma to Robert and Irene (Robbins) Toles.  She started school in Hydro, Oklahoma, and when she was in the sixth grade she moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1961.  She started her college career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University attending business classes for two years.  Darrell Brite proposed to her during that time and they were married on May 4, 1963.  She worked as a bank teller in Weatherford while Darrell completed his college degree. 

   Upon completion of college they moved to Grandfield, Oklahoma where Darrell worked as a teacher, coach, and later as an administrator while Sharran worked for First State Bank of Grandfield.  After they both retired, they enjoyed traveling with relatives and friends throughout the United States. 

   They currently reside in Frederick, Oklahoma and attend First Baptist Church of Frederick, Oklahoma.   

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene (Robbins) Toles, her sister Carlyon (Toles) Dunn, brother-in-law Raymond Lawles, and in-laws Glyn and Dona Brite.

Sharran is survived by her husband Darrell Brite of the home, sons, Kirk Brite and wife Toni of Marlow, OK, Robby Brite and wife Carla of Frederick, OK, sisters, Margie Lawles of Walters, OK and Linda Heathington and husband Joe of Walters, OK, and bother-in-law, Pat Dunn of Weatherford, OK.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Dylan Brite, Tyler Brite and wife Tori, Garrett Brite and wife Ashlyn Marie, Ashlyn Paige Brite and fiance’, Sam Schuermann, Kayden and husband Drew Biggs, Jonathon Brite and great granddaughter, Gracie Brite.

Services:  10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Hydro, OK

Officiating: Rev. Joe Sanders and Rev. Terry Flansburg

Burial: Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK under the direction of Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
