Sharon Farr Obituary

Sharon Ann Farr was born July 14, 1949, in Hinton, Oklahoma, to Leonard Leo and Johnnie Faye (Birge) Lee. She passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at Arden Courts of Austin in Austin, Texas, at the age of 77. Sharon graduated from Hinton High School and continued her education at Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City. Sharon married the love of her life, Jimmie Farr, on December 31, 1968. Together, they created countless memories while building a family they adored. Sharon and Jimmie celebrated more than 53 years of marriage before he passed away on January 11, 2022, in Liberal, Kansas. Sharon and Jimmie’s life together led them to Odessa, TX for Jimmie’s work, and they called this home for many years. While in Odessa, Sharon became a lifelong fan of the San Antonio Spurs and continued working with her love for flowers after having previously worked at a flower shop in Hinton before the move. She found meaningful work at a local flower shop before transitioning to help start and operate a flower shop that was owned by some of the local funeral homes. Sharon spent several years working there. During their time in Texas, Sharon was involved with the Texas Business Women group and was active in her church. She valued her community, friendships, and more importantly, her faith. After their retirement, Sharon and Jimmie moved to Liberal, KS where they were happy to be closer to family. Family was always at the center of Sharon’s life. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and there were very few places she would have rather been instead of cheering on her grandchildren at their various activities. Sharon had a great amount of pride in each one of them and their accomplishments, but more than anything she loved being present in the moments that mattered to them.

After Jimmie’s passing, Sharon moved to Austin, Texas, where she began a new chapter of her life that gave her the ability to spend time with her other children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every moment spent with her family became cherished memories. Those that knew Sharon knew that she felt her greatest accomplishments in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and that she enjoyed the big moments, small moments and every moment in-between. Sharon was fulfilled in life by her friendships, her family, her faith and every memory she made. Sharon will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother, as well as for the faith she showed and the love and compassion she gave to those around her.

Sharon is survived by her three children, Dale Farr; Tammy Dupree and her wife, Lori; and Mindi Ormiston and her husband, Dustin; grandchildren, Elizabeth Farr, Blade Ince, and Jenna Ormiston; great-grandchildren, Luke and Lilliana Ince and Stella Farr; one brother, Jimmy Lee and his wife, Galena, of Hinton; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Johnnie Lee; her husband, Jimmie Farr; one brother, Gary Lee, and her grandson, Logan Ince.
