Scott Henry Lenaburg

Scott Henry Lenaburg was born December 21, 1961 to Vernon Henry and Cora Belle (Hall) Lenaburg in El Reno, Oklahoma. He passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Lookeba, Oklahoma at the age of 59. Scott graduated from Lookeba-Sickles High School in 1980, where he was an All-State Baseball player and involved in showing cattle with the FFA. He attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma and earned his BA. Scott married Betty Baker on June 4, 1982, in Lookeba, Oklahoma. After his father Vernie’s accident Scott moved back to help on the family farm. While living in Lookeba, Oklahoma, God called Scott into the ministry.  The moved to Seminole, OK where he pastored First Missionary Baptist Church.  They moved back to Lookeba in 1998, where Scott has pastored at Lookeba Missionary Baptist Church since that time. He continued to work on the farm, minister to his community. Scott enjoyed working with his cattle and being with his grandkids.

Survivors include: his wife Betty of their home in Lookeba, OK, 2 children, Ryan Lenaburg and wife Kaci and Nicole Lenaburg all of Lookeba, OK, 2 grandsons, Bryer and Bennett Lenaburg, sister, Verna Warren and husband Peewee of Hinton, OK and brother Gary Lenaburg and wife Karen of Tecumseh, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives,  and a host of friends.  

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Cora Belle Lenaburg and mother in law, June Baker.

Services:  10AM, Thursday, December 31, 2020, Lookeba Missionary Baptist Church, Lookeba, OK

Officiating:  Rev. Brandon Thetford and Mr. Phillip Paxton

Burial:   Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, OK
