Ruby May (James) (James) Sleeper

Ruby May James Sleeper was born on January 26, 1947 to Samuel Murrow and May (Whiteshirt) James. She passed away on November 2, 2020 at her home in Geary, OK at the age of 73. Ruby attended Geary Schools. She married Henry Kendrick Sleeper, Sr. They traveled with Jay and Joan in their tent ministry. She worked as a teacher’s aide at Geary Elementary School. She lived in Geary and worked as an EMT and CHR, served on the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe Health Board, worked at the Cherokee Trading Post, and worked at the Indian Trading Post, was a member of Oklahoma Indian Bikers Motorcycle Club, member of Rock of Restoration Church, and board member of Jay Swallow Ministries.

Survivors Include: her children, Henry Sleeper and wife Elsie and their children, Leon and Amber Dawes, Isaac and Isaiah HeCrow Sleeper; Earl Sleeper and fiancé Tammy Adamson and their children, Stephanie Adamson, Marlita Sleeper, and Shon Sleeper; Hannah Sleeper and fiancé Kenneth Hicks, Sr. and their children, Ciera Williams and Ruby May Williams; Mazie Littleraven and husband Rory and their children, Brianna, Olivia, Anna, Carman, and David Littleraven, Henrietta Sleeper and Chauncy Sutton and their children, Jaylee, Sky and Jacob Sleeper, Haleigh, Joseph, and George Sutton; 13 great grandchildren, as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and May James, her husband, Henry Sleeper, Sr., and her siblings, Samuel Murrow James, Jessie Birdshead, Theodosia Noline, Wilma Madbull, and Mary Lou Madbull.
