Roy Lewis Till was born February 17th 1926 in Greenfield, Ok to Thomas and Jewell (Young) Till. He passed away on, Wednesday September 11th 2024, in the Clinton Regional Hospital at the age of 98 years old. Roy graduated from Greenfield High School. He then joined the United States Navy April 18th 1944 and in serving was involved in the invasion of Okinawa, and the occupation of Nagasaki after the Atomic bomb had been dropped. His medals and awards include: The Victory Medal; The American Campaign Medal; The Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (1 Star); and The Philippine Liberation Campaign Ribbon (1 Star). Roy married Doris Boughton September 18th 1947, and they lived in the Watonga/Greenfield area until later moving to the family farm where he farmed and ranched for many years. He enjoyed making new friends and was always willing to help or loan equipment to neighbors or anyone that needed it. After retiring Roy had to stay busy and loved scraping junk iron. Roy was also a member of the Greenfield Masonic Lodge and Greenfield Baptist church.

Survivors include his children: Doug Till and Sarah of Denver, CO and Carol Fisher and Dennis of Omega, OK; His Grandchildren: Toby Till and Tammy, Suzanne Jewett and Jason, Ryan Till, Kevin Fisher and Lesley, Clayton Fisher and Tara, Curtis Fisher and Robin. 12 Great Grandchildren. As well many other family members.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jewell Till, and his wife Doris Till, as well as his son Bruce Till, brother Robert Till, and sister Betty Jo Losh

Service will be held at the Greenfield Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on 9/17/24 in Greenfield, OK with Rev. Keith Wilkinson officiating.
