Robert Kenneth “Bob” Workman was born March 20, 1943, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to Robert Elsworth and Martha (Claussen) Workman. He passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. Bob graduated from Braintree High School and later attended culinary school, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts. While attending culinary school, he met Carol Emily Workman, and they were later married. Throughout his life, Bob held many occupations. He worked as a chef, milkman, firefighter, and long-haul truck driver. Driving over the road was a career he enjoyed for more than 40 years. On January 16, 2009, he married Carla Rosenstock in New Port Richey, Florida. Although they married in 2009, Bob and Carla had shared their lives together since 1983. Bob lived in Massachusetts, Florida, North Carolina, and later Oklahoma. He enjoyed rebuilding cars, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Known affectionately to everyone as “Grumpa,” he treasured his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was also devoted to his faithful dog companion and best friend, Mr. Max.
Survivors include his children, Lori Sandoval and husband Lupe of El Reno, Oklahoma; Kim Hollister and husband Sam of Alexander, North Carolina; Jennifer Patterson and husband Loren of Yukon, Oklahoma; Robert C. Workman of El Reno, Oklahoma; Carol Cahill and husband Mike of New Port Richey, Florida; Joy Keys and husband Mark of Brooksville, Florida; and Lisa Harper of Mount Airy, South Carolina; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Hayes and husband Joe of Scituate, Massachusetts; and his beloved dog, Mr. Max.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carla Workman; and his daughter, Carla Rosenstock, Jr.
