Raymond C. Self was born on June 1st, 1943 to Raymond and Nellie (Howe) Self in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed away March 17th, 2021 at the Comanche Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Ok. at the age of 77. Raymond grew up in Oklahoma City, but graduated school from Lookeba-Sickles High School, where he met Phyllis who would later become his wife. They were married on December 27, 1961 in Wichita Falls, TX. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years. Raymond was a firefighter in Oklahoma City for many years. Raymond loved woodworking, drag racing, and building race cars, he even built his own race car. Raymond was a member of the Swan Lake Baptist Church, he loved to serve his church and served as Deacon.
Survivors include: His wife Phyllis of the home in Carnegie, OK. His Children: Raymond Self, II (Mollie) of El Reno, OK, Carla Morton-Bennett (Craig) of Rincon, Ga., Grand-Children: Joey Morton and (Rhonda), Monroe Bennett and (Julie), Daylond Self and (Nicole), Baillie Morton, Heather Harless and Johnathan, Christopher Self and (Desirae), Michael Self and (Ashten), Great Grandchildren: Zoey Morton, Tyler Morton, Kayley Morton, Koby Morton, Breckyn Self, Bethany Harlass, Annabelle Bennett, Harper Self, Olivia Bennett, Ethan Bennett, Crue Self, Noah Self. His sister: Donna Jordan (Dan) of Verden. And Aunt Sarah Self of Oklahoma City, Ok. as well as many other relatives and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Nellie Self.
