Raymond John Ligas was born on April 3, 1949, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Jacob and Winifred (Fox) Ligas. He passed away on Monday January 10, 2022, at Integris Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Raymond grew up in Connecticut, graduated college with a MS degree and went to serve in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war. He was the only person who could keep the radar running. He loved computers, fishing, cards, the donkey’s and their dogs. He liked to play games on the computer, collect tools, wear hats, play cribbage, and spend time with his family. He was baptized as a child and was a member of the Boys Scouts of America.
On December 17, 1995, he married Dianna Shockey in Harrison, Arkansas. Dianna said, “Raymond is the smartest man I ever met.” He lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado, Kansas City, and then moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family.
Raymond is survived by: his wife Dianna of Hinton, Oklahoma, and children; Andrew John Ligas and wife Toni of Marietta, Ohio, Melody Harriet Deshon and husband Chase of Loveland, Colorado, Jason Charles Cole Kitahara and wife Trisha of Smithville, Missouri, grandchild; Savannah Ligas of Marietta, Ohio, brother Danny Ligas and Jane of Florida, sister Barbara Wilson and Bob of West Virginia, Sister-in-law Denise Seurer and Jimmy of Hinton, Oklahoma, nephew Doug Seurer and Shelby and children of Hydro, Oklahoma, niece Danyelle Seurer of Weatherford, Oklahoma, as well as other family and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by; his parents Jacob and Winifred Ligas, and brother-in-law Donald Shockey, Jr.
Services: Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11:00 am., Hinton Turner Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, Oklahoma.

Burial: OK under the direction of Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
