Raymond Eldon Hicks was born May 11, 1937 in Briartown, Oklahoma to Julius, JA Alexander Hicks and Nora Viola Hoffman Hicks. Raymond passed away on June 20, 2025 in Geary, OK at the age of 88. He moved with his parents to Geary at the age of five. He attended Pleasant Ridge country school. He worked as a carpenter and helped build Geary high school, middle school and elementary. He worked at CNM rambler in El Reno for a while and also worked for Blaine County before working as a shop welder for HollyTex for 27 years. He was very handy and numerous people in town would call him when they needed something. He fixed things in Homes and in several of the churches in Geary. He was always honored to serve as a pallbearer for many of the town’s people. He enjoyed coon hunting fishing Hunting other game and watching westerns. He’s the vice president of Blaine County, coon hunters’ association, and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church he accepted Christ as his personal savior in February 2002.  Raymond will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Peggy Hicks of the home in  Geary, his children, Teresa Triplet and husband Carlos, Marietta Renee Dresch and husband Charles, Newt Carpenter and wife Rebecca, and Erin Cheek and husband Rick, son in law, Jimmy Estep, 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his siblings, Inez Brack, and Jerlene Marchant, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Raymond was proceeded in death by his parents J.A. and Nora Hicks, One infant daughter, Lisa Marie Hicks, daughter Robbie Estep, his siblings, Oliver Hicks , Arlie Hicks, Charles Hicks, Albert Hicks, Wesley Hicks, Robert Hicks, Cecil Hicks & Aamon Hicks, Faye Sheffield, Maggie Hicks, Christine King, and Lida Brack.

Officiating: Rev. Jerry Hendrick and Rev. David Brack

Burial: Geary Cemetery, Geary, OK
