Randy Hicks Obituary

Randy Hicks was born on August 19, 1951, in Great Bend, KS to Harold E. and Dorothy Jean (Livergood) Hicks.  He passed away on August 26, 2022, at his home in Calumet, OK at the age of 71.

 

Randy attended Putnam City High School and later attended Diesel Mechanic School while serving in the United States Army for two years.  He worked on heavy equipment most of his life and will be remembered by many as a hard worker.  He loved John Deere and Caterpillar machinery and working on classic cars.  Randy was a Christian and a great cook who loved to barbecue.  He enjoyed going to car shows, traveling, attending history museums and monuments and yard work, but he especially loved his family. 

 

Survivors include his son, Nathan Hicks, wife Brittany and their children Parker & Erin of Newport News, VA; daughter, Kimberlee Canada, husband Clayton and their children Abigail & Emalee of Francis, OK; daughter, Georgina Guinn of Calumet, OK; sister, Betty A. Randall of Calumet, OK; brothers, Ronald O. Hicks & wife Annie of Ada, OK and Richie Hicks & wife Jennifer of Stanton Island, NY; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

 

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Dorothy Hicks; wife, Rhonda Hicks; and sister, Brenda Sue Martin.

 

Graveside services:  Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Niles Cemetery, Hinton, OK with military honors.
