Phyllis Ann (Ames) Daniel was born August 22, 1944, in Geary Oklahoma to William

“Glenn” and Daisy Frances Ames. She died on November 15, 2024 at Binger Nursing Home in Binger, OK at the age of 80. 

At the early age of one Phyllis’ parents moved from Geary to Hinton, Oklahoma where she

grew up and attended Hinton School ISD and the First Baptist Church in Hinton, OK.  On July 7,1961, Phyllis married Doyle Daniel, at the First Baptist Church Hinton. Early in their marriage they lived in Oklahoma City.  Moving back to the family farm after 3 years, where they remained until death.   She raised three daughters.  Most of her life was spent being a homemaker, wife and mother, being one of the best moms a girl could ask for.  She loved traveling to Port Aransas, cooking for her family, having large meals many times a week.  During the 1980’s and 1990’s Phyllis opened and ran a Seafood Restaurant on the family farm, she had always dreamed of having her own business.    Later in life, she loved sitting on the porch and watching the mockingbirds that she fed, while enjoying the warm summer days.  

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband Doyle Daniel, her three daughters: Kimberly Jackson (husband) Philip Madland of St. Croix, Vicky McPherson and Deborah Phillips of Binger.  Six grandchildren: Daniel Jackson, JoAnna Wilson, Tara Dougherty, Jarod McPherson, Jerry Cart and Mary Holland. Eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Phyllis was preceded in death by both parents William “Glenn” and Daisy Frances Ames, brother Bill Ames, sister Dorothy Zweiacher, sister Darlene Ames, and brother Doyle Ames.

Services: Longview Church, Monday, 10:00 AM, 11-18-2024, Binger, OK

Officiating: Rev. Bobby Boyles and Rev. Dennis King

Burial: Murray Cemetery, Binger, OK

Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Binger, OK.
