Obituary

Pearl Lena (Chambless) Trumbley was born and raised in Borger, TX March 16, 1934 to Charley and Bertha (Ward) Trumbley.  After her father died her mother married Casey Miles and they moved West of Greenfield.  Pearl was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 3, 2023 at the River Oaks Nursing Home in El Reno, OK at the age of 88.  Pearl met the love of her life Leon in 1949 at the Blaine County Fair at Watonga and they were married in Tucumcari, NM, July 27, 1950.  To this union they were blessed with two children, Linda and Randy.  They moved to Borger in 1951 and moved West of Geary in 1958.  They farmed and had a Grade A Dairy.  After Linda and Randy graduated Pearl went to work for the Mahoney Oil Company until 1989, ran a video shop, and later babysit for her grandchildren.  She was an avid bowler and was able to see most of the United States in bowling tournaments.  Pearl loved to quilt and work crafts.  Due to their failing health, they moved into Geary in 2001.  Pearl was Saved and Baptized at the First Baptist Church in Watonga in 1950.  She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Church where she had been church treasurer and Sunday School Teacher, after Pleasant Ridge closed, she moved her membership to the First Christian Church in Geary.

 

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Bertha Chambless, husbands, Leon Trumbley and Herb Little, two sons-in-law, Jim Tucker and Charles Lowe, grandson, James Tucker, and siblings, Carl and Charley Chambless, Clara Roberts, Della Baker, and Billie Chambless. 

 

Survivors include, her two children, Linda Tucker of Geary and Randy Trumbley and wife Kim of Berryville, AR; grandchildren, Angie McDowell and fiancé Ben Conley of Mustang, Jared Long and wife Dawn of Mustang, Brittney Trumbley of Rifle, CO, Malissa Mull and husband Phillip of Rangely, CO, Jacob Trumbley of Hartshorne, OK, Josh Brown and wife Ashley of Stillwater, Jarin Fiel and husband Luke of Stillwater, OK, Jandi Clem and husband Heath of Leedey, OK, and Payton Marshall of Berryville, AR; great-grandchildren, Kolton, Bayler, Hayven Pearl, Samantha, Tripp, Zack, RayAnn, Payton, Jayde, Chase, Ashlynn, Taylor, Corey, Cohen, Oakley, Elijah, Kaden, Khloe, Connor, Colbie, Creed, Farrah, and Sterling; great-great grandchildren, Luna Pearl, Sunny Lin, Gunnison Raye, Riverlyn, Raylyn, Roselyn, Eli and Zeno; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

Service: First Christian Church Tuesday, 10:00 am, March 7, 2023, Geary, OK 

Officiating: Rev. Richard Cox
