Paula “MaMaw” Ann (Phillips) Reding was born on March 13, 1968, in Oak Grove, IL, to Albert and Lucrecia (Mapes) Phillips. Paula passed away on September 8, 2023, at her home in Geary, OK, at 55. She graduated from Geary High School in 1986. Shortly after High School, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a law enforcement officer at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines from 1988-1991. Paula married Anthony (Tony) Reding on July 1, 1995, in Geary, OK. She worked at Maib’s Short Stop in Geary for 15 years as its manager and at the City of Geary Public Library. Subsequently, her community elected her to serve as the Geary City Clerk. She was active in the New Life Assembly of God Church in Geary. Her faith was unquestionable; she was a strong Christian throughout her life and wasn’t afraid to wear it on her sleeve. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her so very much.
Survivors Include her husband, Tony Reding, of their home in Geary, OK; her daughter, Brittney Kayea of OKC, OK; her grandchildren, Noah Binswanger, Aaden Taylor, and Jesse Kayea, all of OKC, OK; her siblings, Melissa (Missy) Mull and husband Keith of Omaha, NE; Sally Riley and husband John of Enid, OK, Pogo Phillips and wife Mary Ann of Watonga, OK, and Kirk Phillips and wife Julie of Tampa, FL, and, if Paula had another sister, it would be cherished and dear friend Darrla Golden of Geary, OK. Paula also has numerous beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Albert (Bert) and Lucrecia (Ann) Phillips, and her son, Dalton Abrahamson.
