Paul Gordon Kniffin was born on June 7, 1943 in Binger, OK to Oran G. and Iris (Shelton) Kniffin. Paul passed away at the Clinton Veteran Center in Clinton, OK on March 2, 2025 at the age of 81. He graduated from Binger High School in 1961. He attended Southwestern State College for two years. He joined the US Army National Guard and served from 1964-1970. On August 11, 1967, he married Sharon Scott in Binger, OK. They made their home in Binger, OK. Paul worked for Caddo Electric; he began as a lineman and worked in many positions for forty-four years. He retired in June of 2008. Paul also was a volunteer firefighter for the Binger Fire Department for twenty years.

Paul loved his family and will be missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by Sharon Kniffin his wife of nearly 58 years of Binger, OK, his children, Suzanne Kniffin of Oklahoma City, OK, and April Umbarger of Binger, OK, his grandchildren, Bronsen Umbarger of Bethany, OK, Dru Umbarger of Weatherford, OK, his sister, Lafon Rider of Anadarko, OK, his brother in law, Jim Yokum and wife Ginger of Chickasha, OK, his nephew Dwight Yokum and family of Chickasha, and niece, Kristi Merritt and family of Edmond, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Iris Kniffin, his grandparents, Isaac and Rhoda Kniffin, and Darus and Zula Shelton, his nephew, Donald Rider, his sister in law, Carolyn Yokum, his brother in law, Gail Rider, his son in law, David Umbarger, and his father and mother in law, Ira and Irene Scott.
