Patricia G. (McWhirter) Coffey was born on September 12, 1938 to Earnest John and Anita Faye (Bennett) McWhirter. Pat passed away on December 23, 2024 in Stillwater, OK at the age of 86. Pat graduated from Maysville High School and from Oklahoma State University and received her master’s degree from SWOSU. She married Russell William Coffey on December 22, 1961 in Maysville, OK. They lived in Altus where Pat worked at the OSU Extension office for many years, then she taught home economics at Altus Public Schools. After retirement, they spent their summers at Rainbow Lake Resort in Colorado and moved to Oney in 1991 then to Hinton in 1997. Pat enjoyed quilting, puzzles, and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Pat was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hinton, OK.

Survivors Include: her children, Wade Coffey and wife Cheryl of Maramec, OK, her step-daughter, Janet McCauley and husband Jim of Edmond, OK, her grandchildren, Tyler Jenkins and wife Lauren of Hobart, OK,  Laramie Coffey of Agawam, MA, Wyatt Coffey of Edmond, OK, Kristen Barrante and husband Justin of Denver, CO, Ryan Coffey and wife Holley of Glendale, AZ, Randal Coffey of Stillwater, OK, her great grandchildren, Maudri Jenkins, Jude Barrante, Lexi Coffey, and Cambria Coffey, her siblings, John McWhirter and wife Carol of Lexington, OK, Doyle McWhirter and wife Julie of Maysville, OK, her sister-in-law, Wilma McWhirter of Ft Worth, TX, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, E.J. and Anita McWhirter, her husband Russell Coffey, her brother, Jerry McWhirter, and her stepson, Larry Coffey.

Burial:  Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, OK
