Orville Wayne "Pee Wee" Warren Obituary
Orville “Pee Wee” Wayne Warren, 76, of Hinton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on November 25, 1948, in Concordia, Kansas, Orville was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
He grew up in Hinton, graduating with the Class of 1967. After marrying the love of his life, Verna Jean Lenaburg, on January 19, 1968, in Lookeba, Oklahoma, they made their home in Hinton. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage. Pee Wee was a member of the Lookeba Missionary Baptist Church and was saved in 1969 at a revival at Oakdale Baptist Church led by evangelist Bro. Buck Nicholson. A member of the Hinton Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Kiwanis Club, Pee Wee also proudly served as president of the Caddo County Fair Board. Pee Wee worked in paint and body restoration for Dennis Howard and then for Cavins Body Shop in El Reno and eventually owned and operated Orville’s Paint & Body Shop in the early 1980’s. He later transitioned into a career in insurance, working as an agent until his retirement. His faith remained a cornerstone of his life. His great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He was looking so forward to watching them compete in wrestling and play ball someday. He loved the thrill of watching Connor race cars and Haylie and Malorie in competitive dance. He spent many hours on drives with his best buddy Cale, and the two would visit Red Rock Canyon Park to count squirrels. Pa, as he was known to his grandchildren, was looking so forward to his reunion with Cale. Pee Wee loved hunting, water skiing, and watching ball games. A lover of old Westerns, especially anything starring John Wayne. He never turned down a slice of apple pie or a cold Dr Pepper.
Pee Wee is survived by his devoted wife, Verna Warren of the home in Hinton, OK; 2 daughters Amy Miller of Lakewood, CO and Amber Smith of Hinton, OK; 3 grandchildren Haylie Kile and husband Kord, Connor Smith and wife Candice, of Lookeba, and Malorie Miller and fiancé Caleb Riley, of Stratford, OK; 4 great-grandchildren Brady McLemore, Rally and Crew Smith, and Kage Kile; 2 sisters Velma Nelson of Newalla, OK and Diane Dobbins of Oklahoma City and sister-in-law Cindy Sanders of Yukon, OK along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
