Nick Leon Williams was born March 12, 1972, to Neal and Charlotte (Moore) Williams in Watonga, Oklahoma. Nick passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his home in Altus, OK at the age of 51.
Nick grew up in Geary community and graduated from Geary High School. Nick was a 1990 state wrestling champion and OWCA Outstanding Wrestler. He went on to Garden City on a wrestling scholarship where he graduated in 1992. Nick was a walk on to the OSU wrestling team where he was a 3-year letterman and member of the 1994 NCAA Wrestling Championship Team. He graduated with his Bachelors in 1997.
Nick had many accomplishments over his 21 years of coaching career. His long career started with one year in Mangum and six at Madill before taking over the Altus High School Program in 2004. He held 14 district titles, 5 Region titles, 20 individual state champions, 19 All Staters and 11 High School All Americans.

As you can see Nick’s life was wrestling, but more importantly Nick enjoyed spending time at his farm in Geary with his dad, Mandy, his girls London and Mallory and dog Missy. He loved to check and feed his cattle. The farm was his happy place. He would say “I need to go see some dirt, let’s go the farm”. His family was everything to him. He also enjoyed being a wrestling & life mentor/coach to the Turner clan.
Nick is preceded in death by his mom Charlotte Williams, grandparents James and Lydia Moore and Noah and Viola Williams and dear friend Rodney Keiner.
Nick is survived by his two daughters London Williams and Brady Hopkins of Altus, Mallory Williams of Stillwater, his soulmate Mandy Baldwin of Mustang, his father Neal Williams of Geary, his dog Missy, grand dog Reba Kay, Cousin Mark Trentham and family as well as many friends.
