Neal Leon Williams Obituary
Neal Leon Williams passed away on August 16, 2024 at his home on Middle Earth Farms, Geary, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Neal was born to Noah Leander and Viola Francis (Lewis) Williams in El Reno, Oklahoma on June 2, 1947. Neal graduated from Geary High School, Class of 1965.
Neal and Charlotte Rowena (Moore) eloped across the border in Texas on August 10, 1966. They farmed/ranched, along-side Noah and Viola, and raised their family on the farm now known as Middle Earth Farms.
Neal and Charlotte taught their children, starting at an early age, farm-life roles and responsibilities which included driving tractors/farm trucks, working cattle, building fence, and training/riding horses. With Neal at the helm, the small family worked together as a team to get the job done.
Neal enjoyed fast cars, hunting, fishing, raising cattle and horses and had a particular passion for raising bison. Neal was also rock hound. Neal picked up rocks when out and about on the farm for his flower bed, to display in the house or to just put in a drawer. In his younger years, Neal traveled with some of his best buddies to Wyoming during harvest time.
Neal also enjoyed going to rodeos, especially bull riding; watching tv shows such as Heartland, The Ranch, any car show - whether racing or rebuilds, John Wayne westerns, and his favorite movie was The Man from Snowy River.
Neal shared his love for the sport of wrestling with his son, Nick. Neal and Pete Reding were coaches of the Geary PeeWee Wrestling Club during Nick's elementary years. Several of the peewee wrestlers went on to become high school state champs and qualifiers, including Nick and Jason Reding.
Neal loved his granddaughters with all his heart and looked forward to taking them deer hunting every season.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Viola Williams, as well as Charlotte and Nick.
Neal is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Renee Williams; granddaughters, London Renée Williams and Mallory Elizabeth Williams; and sister-in-law, Sherrie Annette Moore.
