Nathan Lawrence Roberts was born on June 12, 1977 in Weatherford, OK to Roy & Sharon Roberts and was adopted in 1983 and raised by his grandparents Clifford & Christine Roberts in Heavener, OK.  He passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at his home in Eakly at the age of 47.

At a young age, Nathan had a knack for taking things apart and putting them back together; always working with his hands and a literal “jack of all trades.”  As an adult, he had mastered this skill and could fix just about anything you put in front of him.  He enjoyed the hustle of finding odd jobs in the community.  Many locals in the Eakly area would call on him for plumbing, mechanic or general handyman needs.  Nathan served as a volunteer fireman for Crows Roost and most recently Twin City Fire Departments.  He was very close to his brother Ernest, always doing what he could to help at the salvage yard.  They enjoyed giving one another a hard time and watching Rev. Charles Stanley preach on Sunday TV together.  Nathan was saved at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, OK.  Any time there were children around, Nathan was sure to acknowledge them and wanted them to feel included and special.  He was a fan of spicy food, especially gumbo.  A true lover of the outdoors, Nathan always had his best dog, Boodrow by his side and wanted to be laid to rest next to him.

Survivors include his brother, Ernest Roberts & wife Rose of Eakly, OK and sister, Violet Mendenhall & husband Clyde of Hartford, AR; biological sisters, Angela Raymond and Christie Reyes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Christine Roberts; siblings, Wanda Ryba, Glenda Underwood, Cathy Truiljo, Clayton Roberts, Roy Roberts (biological father); and his beloved dog, Boodrow.

Memorial Service:  Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Swan Lake Baptist Church, Hydro, OK
