Nathan Duane Putman was born on July 17, 1980 in Chickasha, OK to Virgil Eugene and Gwendolyn (Kuykendall) Putman. Nathan passed away on December 26, 2023 in Binger, OK at the age of 43. Nathan grew up in Chickasha, Ninnekah, and Geary. He graduated from Geary High School. Throughout his working life, Nathan worked for Exiss as a welder right out of high school, truck driver for J & L Oil Company, for Steve Snow at K & S Snow where he got his CDL, USG doing warehouse work, for Joe Carson as a farmhand, and more recently at All Gas No Breaks in Lookeba. Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting arrowheads, cruising country roads, cruising on the Polaris, fixing things, and tinkering with all sorts of things using his southern ingenuity. Nathan was happiest being a father; he loved teaching Wyatt everything. He was the best big brother ever. He was very spirited and never met a stranger. He was loved very much and will be missed by all those who loved so much.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn Putman of Calumet; his fiancé Keesha Wetselline of Binger, his children, Wyatt Putman and Tia Tillis of the home Binger, his siblings, Genie Goff and Samantha Putman both of Calumet; nieces and nephews, Joseph Eugene Goff, Connor Nicholas Goff, and Summer Hope Goff, Bryson and Alexia Shaw, his dogs, Rambo and Bitty Girl, his aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as many other relatives and an abundance friends. 

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Putman, his uncle, Kenneth Kuykendall, cousin, Phillip Baker, his grandparents, Eugene and Louise Kuykendall, and Virgil and Lucille Putman.  

Nathan had requested that everyone who attends his funeral to please wear something casual, preferably camouflage.

Services: First Baptist Church, Saturday, 2:00 PM, December 30, 2023, Geary, OK

Burial: Geary Cemetery, Geary, OK
