Muriel Elmer Bratcher was born on November 19, 1931, in Tupelo, OK to Ross and Pearl Hamar. Muriel passed away on June 10, 2022, in Clinton, OK at the age of 90. He grew up around the Clinton and Arapaho area and was baptized in the Baptist Church at a young age. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Katherine Taylor on August 26, 1971, in Gainesville, TX. They have been married for over 50 years. Muriel and Kathy raised her sons together, Donal and Wayne Barger. Muriel loved his home and taking care of his yard as well as taking care of Kathy’s parents’ yard. Kathy’s siblings called him their parents ‘Fair Haired Child’-they were so jealous. He really enjoyed taking care of everyone. He also liked fixing up cars and had made his living as an automotive paint and body repairman and was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mom and Pop Hamar, and one son, Tony Lee Bratcher.
Survivors include: his wife Katherine Bratcher of the home in Lookeba, OK, Sons: Donal Barger and wife Babs of Union City, Ok, and Wayne Barger and wife Deanna of Lookeba, OK, Grand-children: Justin Barger, Jessy Barger, Candy Barger, D.J. Barger, and Layci Barger, seven Great Grand-children, and cousin Janine Absher of Topeka, KS, as well as other family and friends.
Graveside Services: services will be at Lookeba Cemetery, Tuesday 10:00am 6/14/22, Lookeba, OK
