Milburn Ingram Obituary

Milburn Curtis “Curt” Ingram was born November 18, 1935, to Milburn Cisney and Velma Viola (Russell) Ingram in Non, OK.  He passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, OK at the age of 87.  Curt spent his early years near Non in Southeastern Oklahoma.  He moved with his family to Lookeba when he was 8 years old.  He attended Lookeba Schools where he played basketball. He graduated from Lookeba High School in 1956.  Curt lived for a short time in Weatherford OK at the Lowry House while studying watch repair. He also served in the 95th Army Reserve. He moved back to Lookeba and worked with his parents at Ingram’s Grocery. He met and married Virginia Castillo and they were married for 61 years. They purchased and operated Ingram’s Grocery when his Father passed away from 1976-2014.  Curt loved listening to music, working outside, deer hunting and when he was young, spending time on the creek catching crawdads and gigging frogs.  In his teenage years he enjoyed roller skating and dancing.  He was a great storyteller and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. Curt was a proud member of the Choctaw Tribe.  He was a member of the Lookeba Missionary Baptist Church and attended Landmark Baptist Church in Lookeba. 

 

Curt is survived by his wife Virginia of the home in Lookeba, OK, 2 children, Vanda Wall and husband Mike of Arcadia, OK and Darren Ingram of Lookeba, OK, 2 grandchildren, Joshua Wall and wife Millie of Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Caleb Wall and wife Ava of Los Angeles, CA, 2 great-grandchildren, Wiley Jude and Lydia River Wall, 1 brother, Dean Ingram and wife Karlyn of Watonga, OK as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and a host of friends. 

 

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn and Velma Ingram, 2 children, Shawn Ingram and Sarita Jean Ingram, 3 siblings, Betty Wampler, Bud Ingram, Helen Foster and 2 nephews, Ken Wampler and Greg Geymann.

 

Curt’s family wishes to express their gratitude to Good Shepherd Hospice and to Maple Lawn Manor for their kindness and care.
