Michael Gene Ricketts was born September 20, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to R. J. and Lena Ricketts. He passed away on January 6, 2022 in his home in Sickles, OK at the age of 71. Mike served in the US Navy for ten years. Mike married Celeste Hand on May 19, 1982 in Gotebo, OK. He worked for Anadarko Dozer and Caddo County for 23 years, retiring in 2015. His granddaughter, Jaelea, was the love of his life. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Survivors Include: his wife of 43 years, Celeste Ricketts of the home Sickles, OK, his children, Christopher Ricketts and wife Kelsea of Colony, OK, and Todd Lewis and wife Pam of Colorado, his grandchildren, Jaelea Ricketts of OKC, OK, Kash Lowry, and Brylee Lowry.
Matthew Lewis, his great grandchildren, Cam and Olivia Lewis of VA, His sisters, Mary Brown and husband John of California, and Becky Adams of Mtn. View, OK, special niece, Debbie Thurman, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, R.J. Ricketts and Lena Smith, his daughter, Stephanie Sutherland, his sister, Elizabeth Skipworth, his brothers, Jimmy, Stanley, and Terry Ricketts, and his sister-in-law, Dora Ricketts.
