Michael Lee Mayhue was born on November 30, 1947 The only child of William Isom “Buster”Bowling and Rosalie Adams Bowling in Binger Oklahoma. Mike as she was known to her family and friends grew up in the Binger and graduated from Binger high school in 1966. Mike was baptized as a Christian at the Church of God In Binger Oklahoma. Mike loved the Lord and was faithful in prayer and giving to the Lord’s work. Mike married the love of her life John James Mayhue on June 27, 1970 in Kansas City Missouri. They were married for 50 years. Together Mike & John owned and operated a hardware store in Ringling Oklahoma for 35 years. Mike & John loved to travel and explore new places. Their favorite spot was Las Vegas where they spent

several weeks each year. Mike & John both shared a love for animals. Over the course of their 50 year marriage they raised and loved 35 cats, birds, fish, dogs and even a opossum. Mike cared for stray animals too, always leaving extra food and water out for any animal that might need it. Mike loved her family and frequently came home to Binger to visit. 

 

Mike was preceded in death by her husband John Mayhue, her mother Rosalie Adams Bowling, father William Isom “Buster” Bowling, stepmother Irene Bowling, Aunt Allene Farr and husband Bud, Uncle Allen and wife Billy Bowling, Uncle Louis and wife Lois Adams, and Special Aunt Pat and husband Byron Metheny.

 

Mike Is survived by special cousin Christi, her husband Tony and their sons John & Matt Wilkerson; her cousin Arlene Bordwine, cousin Darlene and husband Coy Priddy, cousin Les, his wife Sarah and their son Ryan Bowling; and various other cousins and extended family.

 

The family has asked that memorials be made to local animal shelters.
