Michael Eugene Cecil

Michael Eugene Cecil was born March 16, 1958, in Anadarko, OK to Harrison Kirby and Lavone (Hudson) Cecil.  He passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 63.  Michael grew up in the Eakly area and graduated from Eakly High School.  He worked as a bus driver while he attended school.  He worked for Holytex in Anadarko and later at 3-M for 25 years.  He worked in construction for a time and as a supervisor for ODOT for many years.  Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing and even tried his hand at bull riding.  He mostly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Michael was a member of the Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church.    

Michael is survived by his 2 children, Chance Cecil of Enid, OK and Taylor Cecil and wife Macy of Piedmont, OK, 2 grandchildren, Hank Cecil and Greighli Cecil, siblings, Connie Miller of Hydro, OK and Regina Jackson and husband Jim of Eakly, OK, aunt, JoWanna Hudson of Hydro, OK as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Goldie Lavonne Cecil and brother-in-law, Warren Miller, grandparents, Oland and Floy Hudson, 1 nephew, 1 niece, and 1 great-niece.

Services: 2PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church, Eakly, OK

Officiating: Rev. Joe Sanders

Burial: Sickles Cemetery, Lookeba, OK
