Merline May (Steward) Mooter

Merline May Mooter was born on September 11, 1944 in Rockport, TX to Olen Vester and Molly Marie (Johnson) Steward. Merline passed away on May 1, 2022 in Binger, OK at the age of 77. She grew up in California. She married Dwane Doyel in 1960. His job took them from California to Texas and Oklahoma, while Merline was a stay at home Mom. She went to work in the peanut and cotton fields and in irrigation, and later in home health care as a caregiver in the late 1980’s. Merline married Kenneth Mooter on October 19, 1993 in Oney, OK. Merline loved the Lord with all her heart, she would do anything for anybody. She was always a caregiver to those around her. She enjoyed trail rides in a covered wagon with her friends, fishing, and spending time with her family. Merline was a member of Binger New Vision Church of God, she loved her church, loved going to activities. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches.

Survivors Include: her children, YaVaughn Dame and husband Jimmy of Perkins, OK, Jerry Doyel and wife Carol of Okarche, OK, Robert Doyel and wife Kelley of Binger, OK, and Coria Cox and husband Eddie of Yukon, OK, her grandchildren, Georgia Ainsworth of Pottsboro, TX, Jeffie Bowen and wife Annie of Dallas, TX, Kristy Jones of Sherman, TX, Jason Jones of Ambrose, TX, Blake Quigley of Stillwater, OK, Brett Beneda and wife Amy of Stillwater, OK, Brittany Doyel and Chance Dunn of Kingfisher, OK, Colt Franklin and wife Jessie of Norman, OK, Jarrett Franklin and wife Theresa of Piedmont, OK, Delaney Johnson and husband Kalen of Weatherford, OK, Connor Doyel of Weatherford, OK, Cassidy Marrow and husband Donnevan of Cordell, OK, Callie Marrow and husband Josh of SC, and Caleb Cox of Yukon, OK, 17 great grandchildren, her sister, Patsy Rajskup of Fresno, CA, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Merline was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Molly Steward, husband, Dwane Doyel, husband, Kenneth Mooter, her daughters, Debra Sue Jones, and infant Laura Doyel, her sisters, Betty and Janie.
