Mary Francis (Sitton) Toho

Mary Francis Toho was born on September 10, 1931 in Kemp, OK to Clarence and Edith (Houston) Sitton. She passed away on November 23, 2021 at Binger, OK at the age of 90. Mary graduated from Binger High School and attended Business College in Edmond, OK. She married Calvin Toho on October 24, 1952 in Chickasha, OK. Mary worked as a secretary for Binger Public Schools for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening, going to the casino, reading.  Mary loved drawing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a member of the Cogar Homemakers Club, and member of Red Hatters, and Cogar Methodist Church. After moving to Hinton, she became a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Choctaw Nation and was known as the “Queen” and “Grandma” of the Binger Nursing Home. She always had her hair and make-up fixed and her favorite color was purple. Everyone at the nursing home said she was an encourager and mentored the young people.

Survivors Include: her children, Calvin Franklin Toho and wife Pam of Hinton, OK, Sheila Raye Young and husband Billy of Anadarko, OK, Sharon Faye Jones and friend Dan of Edmond, OK, David Miles Toho and wife Debbie of Binger, OK, and Sallie Kaye Tilley and husband Rick of Meers, OK, her grandchildren, Jared Toho of Hinton, OK, Josh Toho of Hinton, OK, Dr. Luke Toho of Blanchard, OK, Jason McCathern of Anadarko, OK, Dr. Rita Jones-Hyde and husband Michael of Massachusetts, Alison Sterba and husband Aaron of Edmond, OK, Jobey Toho and wife Kylie of Binger, OK, Tanner Toho of Hinton, OK, Jacob Howell of Binger, OK, and Jordan Howell and wife Wisper of Binger, OK, her great grandchildren, Addison, Letty, Zeplin and Sophie Toho, Ainsley Hyde, Jude Sterba, Nora Sterba, Julian and Remy Mendoza, Charley Toho, Keira, Kristin, Kinzy, Hadleigh, Jakoby, and Riley Howell, her brother, David Sitton and wife Eyvonne of Tuttle, OK, her sisters in law, Imogene Sitton of Binger, OK, Linda DeVaughan of Binger, OK, and Sally Wooster of Anadarko, OK, and her niece, Melanie Oyebi, as well as many other relatives and friends.

 Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edith Sitton, her husband Calvin Toho, her grandchildren, Trenton Howell, Ashley Toho, her siblings, Charles Sitton, Woodrow Sitton, and Helen Trout.
