Mary Ruth “Sissy” Radford was born on January 18, 1943 in El Reno, OK to James Angus and Nova Leona (Rackley) Stults. She passed away on August 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 77. Sissy graduated from Calumet High School. She was united in marriage to James Nitzel on August 4, 1962 in Calumet, OK and to this union were born 2 sons. Sissy lived at the farm in Calumet until 1991 after which she moved various different places. Sissy married Walter Radford on July 22, 1992 in Pagosa Springs, CO. They traveled for 10 years where they served as campground hosts, then lived in Oklahoma City. Sissy loved to dance, she loved to watch her Thunder play, she loved genealogy but most of all she loved to visit with everyone she met. She attended the Methodist Church in OKC, OK. She was a certified milk grader with the USDA, worked for the grain elevator, a farmer’s wife for 20 years, and raised two boys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Leona Stults, and her husband, Walter Radford.
Survivors Include: her children, Ted Nitzel and wife Nicole and their children, James Nitzel, Abby Nitzel, and Sarah Nitzel all of Calumet, OK, and Roger Nitzel and wife LeNisa of Crowder, OK, and their children, Jamie Bagwell and husband Jack their children, Case Davis, Ashlynn Bagwell, and Carver Bagwell all of Springdale, AR, Jordan Nitzel of Lone Tree, CO, and Bekah Nitzel of Crowder, OK, her sister, Virginia McMahan and husband Sam of El Reno, OK, Walter’s children, and grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tim Radford and wife Lesa of OKC, OK, their son, T.J. Radford and wife Kimberly and their daughter Kinsley of Edmond, OK, Hailey Radford of OKC,OK, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
