Maria del Socorro Exinia was born on July 14, 1948 in Soliceno, Mexico to Jose and Felix (Rosas) Rodriguez. She passed away on October 18, 2021 in Weslaco, TX at the age of 73. Socorro moved to Texas at the age of 16 where she met and married Catarino L. Exinia, Jr. They lived in Texas and Ohio and moved to Oklahoma in 1984, moving to Texas 8 years ago. She loved cross stitch, plants, animals, cooking, making tamales, and her famous tortillas, and was very family oriented. Socorro loved her family very much. She was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Weatherford, OK.
Survivors Include: her husband, Catarino Exinia, Jr., her children, Catarino “Tony” Exinia III and wife Buffie of Hydro, OK, Joe Exinia of Hydro, OK, Cristina “Tina” Exinia and David Garcia of Hydro, OK, George Exinia and wife Teresa of Moore, OK, and Andrew “Andy” Exinia and wife Angelica of Hydro, OK, her grandchildren, Kaylee Schantz, Joshua Exinia, Taylor Lewis, Divina Exinia, Jasmine Exinia, Jorge Exinia, Sierra Garcia, Marcella Exinia, Elania Exinia, Isabel Garcia, and Victor Garcia, her great grandchildren, Alexis Schantz and Nathaniel Schantz, her siblings, Victor Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Manuela Roja, Eladia Guardiola, and Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Socorro was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Felix Rodriguez, her son, Ramon Exinia, her grandson, Justice Exinia, and her brother, Thomas Rodriguez.
Viewing will be at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
