Lynn Arthur Byrd

Lynn Arthur Byrd was born on September 14, 1935, in Mt. View, Oklahoma to Aaron and Opal (Radley) Byrd. He passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 86.

Lynn graduated from Mt. View High School and then moved to California where he worked in the grocery industry. Lynn married Lavanda Kaye Green in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 8, 1979. He retired in 1991 and moved back to Oney, OK in 1992. After moving back to Oney he worked at the Peanut House and the Oney Volunteer Fire Department. Lynn enjoyed working outside, mowing his yard, carpentry work, reading, watching westerns and keeping an eye on the weather. He attended Oney Baptist Church.

Lynn is survived by his children; Cindy Combs of Tomball, Texas, Mindy Reece of Moore, OK, Robert Byrd and wife Loretta of Cromwell, OK, 11 Grandchildren; Braydon Fogle, Dyson Fogle, Savanah Reece, Logan Reece, Aydon Lisenbery ,Aaron Byrd, Amanda Smith, Marlow Byrd, Dakota Byrd, Casandra Sipes, and Robert Charles Byrd, multiple Great-Grandchildren, siblings; Aline Green of Anadarko, OK, Pat Byrd and wife Carolyn of Tennessee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by, his parents Aaron and Opal Byrd, his wife Lavanda Byrd and a son, Terry Byrd.

Viewing will be held at Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM -9 PM, August 24-25, 2022, Hinton, OK

Services: Friday, 10:00 AM, August 26, 2022, Hinton Turner Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton, OK.

Officiating: Rev. Brandon Kittle

Burial: Oney Cemetery, Albert, OK
