Loyce Margaret Davenport was born on January 24, 1934 in Gould, OK to Harmon and Rachel (Elrod) Wade. Margaret passed away on December 2, 2023 in Weatherford, OK at the age of 89. Margaret was united in marriage to John (J.D.) Davenport on November 16, 1962 in Amarillo, TX. The couple moved to Weatherford, OK in 1969 and raised their family there. Margaret worked at SWOSU for several years as a custodian and was a cook for several nursing homes in Weatherford for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her children in her younger days and of course cooking for her family. Some fond memories of her holiday dressing, that no one else can make like her, will be cherished for years to come. She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Margaret is survived by her children, Johnny Davenport and his wife Brandy of Weatherford, OK, and Kim Carter of Weatherford, OK, her grandchildren, Curt Carter of KS, Colby Carter of AR, and Delaney and Cooper Davenport of Weatherford, OK, her sister, Kay Wheeler Burgen of Hinton, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Rachel Wade, and her husband, John (J.D.) Davenport.
